Tuya WiFi Zigbee Human Presence Sensor: 5.8G/24G radar detects stationary/micro-motion, 0.1-9.5m range, -20ºC~+70ºC. APP control, fits home/elderly room for smart safety & linkage.
Millimeter Wave Radar Detection
1. Product Features
Core Detection Technology & Range
It adopts 5.8G/24G millimeter wave radar detection technology, which is different from traditional PIR sensors. It can not only detect moving human bodies but also accurately identify stationary human bodies (e.g., standing, sleeping) and micro-movements (e.g., blinking, breathing) without detection blind spots. The detection distance is flexible and adjustable, with a default range of 0.3-9m, and it supports setting the minimum detection distance of 0.1m and maximum of 9.5m, adapting to the needs of different space sizes.
Connection & Control Methods
It supports dual wireless communication modes (WiFi and Zigbee) and must be used with the "Tuya Smart APP" for remote control and status checking. Device linkage relies on a Zigbee gateway (not included in the package), which can receive signals from the sensor and link with other smart devices. When the network is disconnected, basic local linkage can still be realized via Zigbee to avoid functional failure.
Basic Parameters & Hardware Design
-
Power Supply & Energy Consumption: Operating voltage is DC 12V, operating current ≤ 70mA, with low energy consumption.
-
Environmental Adaptability: Operating temperature ranges from -20ºC to +70ºC, capable of coping with temperature differences in most indoor and outdoor environments; supports 0-2000lux illuminance detection, enabling linkage with devices based on ambient brightness.
-
Installation & Dimensions: Adopts ceiling-mounted installation with an opening size of 53-58mm (2.09-2.28inch); the main product dimensions are approximately 61mm×39mm×46.5mm (2.4×1.54×1.83inch), compact in size and suitable for most ceiling structures.
-
Material & Customization: The main body is made of PC material, which is durable and anti-aging; supports OEM/ODM customization (e.g., customized logo, packaging, manual, color, and functions) with flexible minimum order quantities (logo customization starts from 100 pieces).
APP Function Support
Multi-dimensional management can be achieved through the Tuya APP: adjusting sensitivity (0-9 levels, default level 7), checking real-time target distance, monitoring ambient illuminance value, setting detection distance thresholds, and viewing device working status and linkage records. The operation interface is intuitive and easy to use.
2. Functional Advantages
Full-Scenario Detection for Comprehensive Safety Coverage
Breaking the limitation of traditional sensors that "only detect movement", the millimeter wave radar technology can cover the full scenario of "moving human bodies + stationary human bodies + micro-movements". For example, it can detect human bodies in sleeping status in bedrooms and trigger fall alarms in elderly rooms, avoiding missed detection due to stationary human bodies and improving home safety.
Precisely Adjustable Parameters for Diverse Needs
It supports dual parameter customization: on the one hand, the detection distance range of 0.1-9.5m can be set to accurately define the alarm or linkage area (e.g., only covering the area around the bed in the bedroom to avoid false triggers); on the other hand, 0-9 levels of sensitivity adjustment allow adaptation to the environment (e.g., increasing the level in the living room to expand the detection range, and decreasing the level in the study to avoid false triggers from slight movements). Meanwhile, the APP displays real-time target distance and illuminance, facilitating users' refined management.
Smart Linkage for Enhanced Life Convenience
It can deeply link with smart devices in the Tuya ecosystem. For example, in "homecoming mode"-when a human body is detected entering the door at night, the sensor automatically turns on the entrance light, living room air conditioner, and TV to create a "comfortable experience upon returning home"; in "away mode"-when no one is detected, it automatically turns off non-essential appliances such as lights and TVs without manual operation. It can also link with smart switches to automatically turn on lights (e.g., turning on the desk lamp when the ambient illuminance in the study is below the threshold) to protect eyesight.
Strong Environmental Tolerance & Easy Installation
The wide temperature range design (-20ºC to +70ºC) can adapt to extreme indoor temperatures such as cold winters in northern regions and hot summers in southern regions; the PC material is impact-resistant and anti-aging, extending the service life of the device. Ceiling-mounted hole installation requires no complex wiring-only a hole of the corresponding size is needed for fixation, which is suitable for most home ceiling decoration styles and has a low installation threshold.
3. Application Scenarios
Home Entrance/Hallway
As the "entrance to smart home", it automatically links to turn on the entrance light, living room air conditioner, and TV when a human body is detected entering, creating a "comfortable experience upon returning home". When no one is present, it automatically turns off all non-essential appliances to reduce energy waste, balancing convenience and energy efficiency.
Bedroom/Elderly Room
In the bedroom, it can monitor the human sleep status and avoid fumbling for switches when getting up at night (linking with night lights to turn on automatically); in the elderly room, the fall alarm function can be activated-when an abnormal fall of a human body (stationary with no micro-movement changes) is detected, an alarm notification is pushed via the APP to protect the elderly's safety in a timely manner.
Study/Children's Room
Combined with the illuminance detection function, it links with smart desk lamps: when the ambient illuminance is lower than 200lux (customizable threshold), it automatically turns on the desk lamp and adjusts it to an appropriate brightness, avoiding vision damage caused by insufficient light. It is especially suitable for children's study or adult office scenarios.
Other Smart Home Scenarios
It can be extended to small spaces such as walk-in closets (linking with lights when the door is opened and human body is detected) and bathrooms (turning on exhaust fans after detecting a human body). Through the logic of "linkage when people come, turn off when people leave", it improves the usability of each space and reduces manual operation steps
